Information on each species covers the birds’ appearance, basic behaviour, preferred habitats, and geographical distribution. Each bird is allocated a full page featuring a colour photograph and bilingual text in English and French.

Ian Sinclair is a world Authority on African bird identification, renowned for his extensive field experience. He has authored many successful bird books and is recognised as one of Africa’s foremost bird authors.
Olivier Langrand spent 12 years in Madagascar, studying birds and working in nature conservation. He is based in Washington DC, working for Conservation International as a Senior Vice President and is in charge of the Africa and Madagascar Programme.
Fanja Andriamialisoa, originally from Madagascar, is a naturalist who travelled extensively before settling in the United States. She worked for an environmental programme in central Africa for several years and is an experienced editor and translator of scientific documents.

Ian Sinclair est un expert de renommée mondiale pour l'identification des oiseaux africains et possède une grande expérience sur le terrain. Il est l'auteur de nombreux ouvrages réputés sur les oiseaux et est reconnu comme l'un des plus importants auteurs africains sur ce sujet.
Olivier Langrand a passé 12 ans à Madagascar à s'Impliquer professionnellement dans l'étude des oiseaux et dans la conservation de la nature. Il est actuellement basé à Washington, DC en tant que Vice Encordent Senior en charge du Programme Afrique et Madagascar à Conservation International.
Fanja Andriamialisoa est une naturaliste originaire de Madagascar qui a beaucoup voyagé avant de s'installer aux Etats-Unis. Elle a travaillé pendant plusieurs années pour un projet environnemental en Afrique Centrale et s'est spécialisée dans l'édition et la traduction de documents scientifiques.
