Although we had seen many photographs of lemurs over the years and had a very clear idea of their general appearance, we were totally unprepared for their powerful endearing quality. To sit with wild lemurs a few metres in front of you, unconcernedly performing acrobatic antics, feeding or simply interacting with each other is extremely therapeutic. Rejuvenating even, as you drift back down the corridors of childhood emitting unconscious 'oohs' and 'aahs'.
