A curious book which is reversible: read from one end it is about butterflies of Madagascar; read from the other it is about the minerals and shells. Each of the three sections (butterflies, minerals, and shells) begins with a preface by one of the three authors, with versions in both English and French. Otherwise there is no text, save for the brief captions (in French only) on the 91 colour photographs.
