A Malagasy Ariary banknote issued by the Central Bank of Madagascar. This issue bears the signature of Le Gouverneur Frédéric Rasamoely. On the front of the 100Ar note is a view of Nosy Lonja (Sugarloaf Island) in the Bay of Diego Suarez. On the reverse are images of the Madagascar Travellers Palm (Ravenala madagascariensis) and the limestone pinnacles known as "tsingy".
