Alison Jolly Madagascar Scholarship
This scholarship has been established in honour of beloved American primatologist, Dr Alison Jolly (please see www.durrell.org/latest/news/the-leading-lady-of-lemurs). It funds one student a year from Madagascar to take the course in Endangered Species Recovery offered by Durrell Conservation Academy in Mauritius.
The course provides field experience and skills in species and human resource management, enabling its graduates to run wildlife conservation projects. Following a month of tuition in conservation biology in the classroom, the students join Durrell's teams in the field in Mauritius for three months of practical experience in species and habitat recovery.
