Filanjana: 75-Centime Postage Stamp with 60-Centime Surcharge

A purple and black definitive stamp depicting a man being carried on a filanjana (palanquin or sedan chair) with the Rovan'i Manjakamiadana (queen's palace) of Antananarivo in the background. It was issued in September 1922 and has a face value of 75 centimes cancelled with a surcharge of 60 centimes. The stamp is cancelled with a postmark that is probably from Colbert, Tananarive (Antananarivo).
