The Illustrated Guide to Succulent Flora of Madagascar
The author uses a form of travelogue to describe his two expeditions to Madagascar where he visited northern, central and southern areas of the island. Except succulent plants from each area he also mentions events that Europeans can meet in unusual malagasy conditions. Most of the succulent plants are endemic and illustrated species are mainly from genera: Pachypodium, Aloe, Adansonia, Alluaudia, Didierea, Euphorbia, Uncarina, Cyphostemma.
