Stapled Facsimilie
This is the preliminary report of the University of Edinburgh's three-month-long zoological expedition to Madagascar in 1963. It is part of The Francis Hambly Collection. Francis Hambly, a Quaker Overseas Volunteer who went to Madagascar to teach for two school terms, joined this expedition as their translator after completing his school posting. He remained with the group until approximately halfway through the expedition, whereupon he had to return to England for university studies. The Francis Hambly Collection includes 237 photographic slides from his time in Madagascar, 59 of which were taken during this expedition.
