The monthly newsletter of the Madagascar Fauna Group's in-country projects. The main focus of the update is recent news from Ivoloina Parc Zoologique and Betampona Reserve.
In this issue it is reported that four new species of ant may have been discovered at Betampona Reserve as part of an Indian Ocean ant survey conducted by the California Academy of Science. There is a feature on two invasive plant species that pose a threat at Betampona: Wild Ginger (Aframomum angustifolium) and Chinese Guava (Psidium cattleianum).
At Ivoloina, British film company Tiger Aspect has been filming a documentary focussing on the Aye-Aye (Daubentonia madagascariensis). And the zoo has received a donation of an iguana, Oplurus cuvieri.
