The update from Betampona notes an encounter with a Ring-Tailed Mongoose (Galidia elegans), a pair of breeding Madagascar Blue Pigeons (Alectroenas madagascariensis) at Rendrirendry, and a research student who got stung by a scorpion while mapping guava (Psidium cattleianum) and longoza (Aframomum angustifolium) in the reserve. News from Ivoloina includes the capture of a critically endangered cichlid, Paratilapia typus, in Lake Fulgence and the donation of two Brown Mouse Lemurs (Microcebus rufus) to the park.
