Monthly from Madagascar: Madagascar Fauna Group

The monthly newsletter of the Madagascar Fauna Group's in-country projects. The main focus of the update is recent news from Ivoloina Parc Zoologique and Betampona Reserve.

From Betampona, there are new species reported – a Platypelis frog and a Canarium tree – and some interesting behavioural observations of Galidia elegans mongooses. Among the reports from Ivoloina is a small piece on Calumma nasuta chameleons and news that a competition between schoolchildren has begun to grow rice as efficiently as possible.
